Examining economic growth from the agricultural sector perspective in Azerbaijan

Abstract: The importance of the agricultural sector, which plays an important role in the development of countries and societies, is gradually increasing with the effect of the globalizing economic system, increasing competitive environments and rapidly changing market conditions. Azerbaijan has a special importance in terms of plant, animal, and aquatic products due to its geopolitical position, the Caspian memory it has, the rivers it has and its ecological diversity. In this study, general information about the agricultural sector is given, and the effects of the agricultural sector on economic development are emphasized. In addition, the relationship between employment rates in the agricultural sector and economic growth has been examined. According to the results obtained, there is a significant relationship between the agricultural sector workers and economic growth in this country.
