INHERITANCE OF FLOWER TYPE IN VINE SEEDLINGS FROM COMPLEX INTERSPECIES HYBRID COMBINATIONS
V. Roychev, M. Ivanov
Abstract: Research has been carried out into the inheritance of flower type in 20 interspecies hybrid combinations. It has been found that the phenotypic decomposition by this trait corresponds to some of the known hypotheses in literature in only 11 of them in F1 progeny, while in the remaining ones it differs. By means of a scale of the theoretically possible genotypes, in accordance with the known hypotheses, an attempt has been made at genotypic identification of each cultivar participating in the crosses. The obtained results can be applied in vine selection for the development of new hybrids resistant to diseases and low temperatures, as well as in analysis crosses for determination of the genotype of separate cultivars in regard to flower type.
